1. Is food provided?
Meals, snacks, and refreshments are provided at all workshops. The food is vegetarian, sourced locally, and perfect for outdoor building work!
Mexico Workshops
2. What are the accommodations in Zipolite, Mexico?
Lodging is provided at the clean and safe Solstice Mexico Retreat located on Zipolite Beach very near to the building site.
3. How do I travel to Zipolite, Mexico?
It's best to fly to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido, they're closest to Zipolite. Of these two, Huatulco is the largest. Sometimes you can get on a chartered flight to these airports from many cities in North America--contact a travel agent for help with this. American Airlines and Continental both fly into Huatulco (HUX). Mexicana Airlines also flies into HUX from Mexico City.
From Huatulco
- take a bus to Pochutla (it's about a 2 hour ride)
- take a collectivo or a taxi to Zipolite from Pochutla (taxi should cost around 9 dollars)
From Puerto Escondido (PXM)
Chartered flights and Aerocaribe Airlines (from Mexico City and Oaxaca) usually fly into PXM
- take a bus from Puerto Escondido to Pochutla
- take a collectivo or a taxi to Zipolite from Pochutla (taxi should cost around 9 dollars)
From Aculpulco, Oaxaca City, or Mexico City
Take an overnight bus from Acapulco, Mexico City or Oaxaca City to Pochutla:
- from Acapulco to Pochutla is about a 9 hour ride and costs up to $30
- from Mexico City to Pochutla is about a 12 hour ride and costs up to $40
- from Oaxaca City to Pochutla is about an 8 hour ride and costs up to $20
- take a collectivo or a taxi to Zipolite from Pochutla (taxi should cost around 9 dollars)
