A must for anyone who wants to know what happens to cob when it is repeatedly heated and/or cooled to it's extremes--otherwise known as "thermal cycling".
We will be deconstucting a previously built cob oven, by first cutting it in pieces, and we'll pinpoint what really happens to the cob. As well, a thorough examination of ageing benefits and detriments and varying degrees of vitrification in the different layers of cob will be adressed.
